7 February 2020 UPDATE – REMODELLING OF THE PARISH HALL (5)

The Parish Council are pleased to announce that under the direction of Councillor Kevin Broughton of the Remodelling Committee, the lengthy stage of reaching an agreed design with GFT Tomlinson Ltd for the remodelling of the Parish Hall, has been completed. The Plans have been submitted to NEDDC for Planning Approval. A comprehensive display of some of the images of the Plans, are now on display in the foyer of the Parish Hall. A smaller array of selected images will be displayed on Council Notice Boards throughout the village. Electronic images will be posted on the Council website. Please note internal décor is for illustrative purposes only and has yet to be determined & agreed.

The Council waits on the decision of the Planning Authorities before it will be able to submit an application for funding to the Public Works Loan Board. All things being equal we hope that the 15 week programme of works will commence at the end of May.

We believe that GFT's designs are ambitious, exciting and will transform the existing Parish Hall into a new dynamic and flexible facility to house all forms of activities for ALL ages. There is still much more work to be done but the whole Council is energised into making this a successful project and to provide a facility that Parishioners can be proud of and will benefit from, for many years to come.
