Deer Park Footpath Repairs - 19th August 2024

Works to restore the Deer Park footpath will begin on Monday 19th August.

This is the footpath that runs from behind the Medical Centre and to the Deer Park Primary School.Our contractor will be raising and resurfacing the path to remove the bumps and cracks caused by tree roots and hopefully keeping it free from flooding.The repairs are expected to take up to 2 weeks.

Whilst the works are ongoing, the footpath will be closed in the interest of public safety. We are confident it will be open again for the return of the school commute.

The Parish Council would like to take this opportunity to clarify that the land and footpath directly behind the Medical Center and the Spar Shop are not owned nor the responsibility of the Parish Council. We are, therefore, unable to carry out any repairs or commit taxpayer funds to footpaths in this area.
