Wingerworth Snow Warden Scheme 2024/25
Wingerworth Parish Council is on the look out for any willing volunteers to help clear snow and ice from their road/street this Winter.
The Parish Council will be taking part in the County Council Snow Warden Scheme and will receive a free supply of grit to distribute amongst the community to help clear snow and ice from footpaths and pavements.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer Snow Warden or want to know more, please contact the Parish Clerk on email at clerk@wingerworthparishcouncil.gov.uk or call the Parish Hall on 01246 938 108.
You will need to complete a simple form to declare you are fit to participate and another to consent to County Hall holding your personal information. You will also be asked to confirm you have watched the online training video.
Once completed (and we have taken delivery of grit) we will arrange for 2 or 3 bags of grit to be delivered to your address for use in clearing public footpaths and pavements near your home.
PLEASE NOTE: Grit supplied through grit bins or the Snow Warden Scheme is for use on public pavements and footpaths only - not private property.
