An election has been called to fill the vacancy for the Longedge Ward on Wingerworth Parish Council.

REASON: To facilitate water service connection works.

Wingerworth Art Exhibition
Wingerworth Art Exhibition is taking place on Saturday 28th September 2024.
Come along to the Wingerworth All Saints Church between 10am and 4pm to view works of art to suit all tastes, along with light refreshments and a raffle.
Entry is free and there is ample parking.

Deer Park Footpath Repairs - 19th August 2024
Works to restore the Deer Park footpath will begin on Monday 19th August.
This is the footpath that runs from behind the Medical Centre and to the Deer Park Primary School.Our contractor will be raising and resurfacing the path to remove the bumps and cracks caused by tree roots and hopefully keeping it free from flooding.The repairs are expected to take up to 2 weeks.

Wingerworth Village Produce and Craft Show 2024
This year's annual Wingerworth Village Show will take place on Saturday 7th September 2024 between 2pm and 4.30pm at our wonderful Parish Hall.

Temporary Speed Restriction Notice - Langer Lane
WHEN: 16th September to 20th September 2024 between 9.30am and 3:30pm each day (any 2 days within this period).
WHERE: It will be necessary to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 mph (30 mph past works) , from a point 45meters north of its junction with Chartwell Avenue to a point 40 meters south of its junction with Rushen Mount.
